PhD Candidate (PhD in Public Health)

Eva L. Kitui

Eva L. Kitui is a distinguished public health professional whose career reflects a deep commitment to advancing preventive healthcare, disease control, and the promotion of healthier communities.

She is currently a Public Health Specialist at Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH), one of Kenya's premier national referral, teaching, and research hospitals. In this role, she contributes to initiatives that strengthen public health systems, promote disease prevention, safeguard environmental health, and support quality, patient-centred healthcare through evidence-based practice and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Eva is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Public Health, further strengthening her expertise in addressing complex public health challenges through research, innovation, and policy development. She holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) with specialization in Epidemiology and Disease Control, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health, providing her with a strong academic foundation in population health, disease surveillance, environmental health management, and preventive healthcare.

Throughout her professional journey, she has demonstrated a passion for improving health outcomes through research-informed practice, public health leadership, and continuous professional development. Her work reflects the vital role that public health professionals play in protecting communities, promoting healthy environments, and strengthening healthcare systems.

As the Chief Guest for the Metropolitan Medical Training College's 25th Graduation Ceremony, Eva L. Kitui brings a wealth of knowledge, professional experience, and an unwavering commitment to excellence in public health. Her career serves as an inspiration to the graduating class as they embark on their own journeys of service, leadership, and lifelong learning in healthcare.
